Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District Board of Directors and Staff are committed to reusing wastewater and solid waste, and utilizing green practices. Previously, wastewater was discharged into the Bay and all solid waste was trucked to the landfill at increased expense. Today, alternative methods are utilized to maximize recycling and new technologies are routinely evaluated.
In addition, the District provides and participates in a variety of recycling programs and events. We are a collection point for household batteries, fluorescent bulbs and tubes and mercury thermometers. You can find information about ways you can help, items to recycle and community events throughout our website.
Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District
