Notice of Public Review Hearing to discuss Proposed Ordinance 196 Amending Garbage Collection rates for 2025

 

 The Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District will conduct a Public Hearing to discuss an ordinance amending Title 4,  Chapter 1 of the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District Ordinance Code, an Ordinance Regulating Solid Waste, Recyclable and Organic Materials, and the Collection, Removal and Disposal Thereof, as amended, and relating to rates to be charged.  In addition, customer-owned organic carts or compostable bags for residential customers will cease to be emptied or removed and customers can instead request up to two 96-gallon organic waste carts at no additional charge. This hearing will take place at the District office at 101 Lucas Valley Road, Suite 300. San Rafael on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 4:00 PM.  The proposed ordinance can be viewed here or at the District office posted on the Public Notification Board in the front of the building at 101 Lucas Valley Road, East Lobby, San Rafael from November 25 to December 21, 2024.

 Notice of Public Hearing on Ordinance 197 amending the Ordinance Code Authorizing Contractual Assessments between the District and Property Owners to add the cost of repairs of Sewer Laterals to the Property Tax Role for each individual property for which the curfrent property owner enters into a contractual assessment agreement with the District.
